PRP Hair Restoration

This non-surgical treatment combines PRP from your own blood with an exosome-derived product to support weakened follicles, reduce shedding and encourage healthier-looking hair growth.

The details

Final eligibility and treatment decisions are determined by a licensed RE UP provider.

Potential benefits
  • Reduce excessive hair shedding
  • Support weakened hair follicles
  • Improve the appearance of hair density
  • Encourage thicker, healthier-looking hair
  • Improve the overall scalp environment
  • Support early male or female pattern hair loss
Treatment suitability

This treatment works best when active hair follicles are still present. It may not restore hair in areas where follicles are no longer functioning or where hair loss is caused by scarring.

What should I expect?

The appointment includes a blood draw, preparation of the PRP and a series of small injections throughout the targeted areas of the scalp. The exosome-derived product is incorporated into the same treatment protocol. Temporary scalp tenderness, redness, swelling, pinpoint bleeding or a mild headache may occur. Hair growth happens slowly, so reduced shedding may be noticed first. Improvements in thickness and density generally develop gradually over several months, and individual results vary.

How many treatments are recommended?

An initial series of three treatments spaced approximately four to six weeks apart is commonly recommended. Maintenance treatments may then be suggested once or twice per year based on your response, pattern of hair loss and long-term goals.

Important considerations

Please tell your provider about pregnancy or breastfeeding, medications, allergies, implants, and relevant medical history. The exosome-derived component is considered investigational and is not FDA-approved to treat hair loss. Your provider will explain the specific product, how it is used, potential risks, available evidence and alternative options before treatment.

Your hair-restoration consultation

A consultation is required to evaluate your scalp, medical history and possible causes of hair loss. Bloodwork or referral to another medical professional may be recommended before beginning treatment.

PRP + Exosome

How does the treatment work?

A small amount of blood is drawn and processed to separate the platelet-rich plasma. PRP contains concentrated platelets and naturally occurring growth factors, and is carefully injected into areas of the scalp experiencing thinning or increased shedding. Exosomes are tiny particles released by cells that carry proteins and other biological messages. The exosome-derived component is incorporated into the same treatment session to provide additional signals that may support the scalp environment, follicle activity and tissue-renewal processes.
